OUTCOME
2-bedroom apartment. Mid 1960's building.

Etterbeek, Brussels 1040.
Renovation of entire apartment for the rental market. The property had scarcely been changed since construction. While there were original wooden floors throughout, they were damaged. The separate galley kitchen and utility room were taking up a lot of space yet they were cramped. The living room was large but felt dark and gloomy. The bathroom was functional but outdated. It would have been difficult to rent in its original state.

Complete re-design of the living/kitchen/utility room included removing the walls between all three and closing up 2 unnecessary doors. This opened up the entire front of the apartment and created a large, light-filled living-dining-kitchen area. The bathroom was demolished and re-designed into a spacious shower room with high spec. sanitary ware and hardware. The wooden floors were removed and replaced with modern wide oak boards.

Anne Marie prompted us to define our renovation project such that it matched exactly with what we had in mind. She convinced us to make choices of materials & colours which we would not have chosen otherwise and this laid the basis for the sucess of the project. She is a creative and extremely reliable interior architect, who found the perfect solutions for our renovation issues and delivered a flawless result.
